Panic Attacks Driving On Motorways

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

About 10 years ago i had a fright when i was driving on the motorway a panic attack i think?

Now i get terrified on fast roads. I get light headed dizzy and feel as though i am going to pass out my heart races and it seems adrenalin is rushing around .I have tried what it seems everything from the doctor.I am currently on Propranolol 80mg per day but even these dont seem to be helping

Firstly get off the tranquilizer/calmer you need to look at building your confidence when out on the roads. More it could be the thought of may happen and speed would be the cause that’s causing the problems, you really need to look at why you got a fright and how to deal come to terms with it, but I will say your not alone I know a few people who won’t drive on a motorway and plan alternate routes. good luck Jim DO NOT STOP THE MEDICATION WITHOU DOCTORS HELP AND SUPPORT.
